  • GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper) is a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide found in the body, particularly in plasma and tissues. It’s known for its role in skin repair, collagen support and healthy tissue remodelling, and is often used in cosmetic and regenerative protocols aimed at improving skin quality and visible signs of aging.

We have two options for this peptide.

In injectable form, GHK-Cu is used in advanced protocols to support broader tissue repair, recovery and healthy aging from the inside out.

In topical cream form, it is applied directly to the skin for more targeted cosmetic benefits.

GHK-Cu is not an FDA-approved medication and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Your healthcare practitioner will advise whether DSIP is suitable for your situation.

  • When used as directed and alongside a healthy lifestyle, clients commonly use GHK-Cu to help support:

    Smoother, firmer-looking skin

GHK-Cu is widely used to support collagen and elastin, helping improve the look of fine lines, texture and overall firmness when used consistently.

    Improved skin tone & radiance

Many people notice their skin looks brighter and more even, with a “refreshed” appearance as cell turnover and barrier support improve.

Support for stressed or mature skin

Ideal for skin exposed to the sun, pollution or daily stressors, as well as skin showing early or established signs of ageing.

Post-procedural or recovery support (topical use)

Under practitioner guidance, GHK-Cu creams are often incorporated into post-procedure skincare routines (e.g. following cosmetic treatments) to support the skin’s natural repair processes.

Tissue repair & healthy ageing (injectable use)

In injectable protocols, GHK-Cu is used as part of more advanced regenerative or healthy-ageing programs aimed at supporting overall tissue integrity and recovery.plan that includes sleep hygiene, nervous-system regulation, nutrition and movement.

*Individual results vary. GHK-Cu works best as part of a complete plan created with your healthcare provider and is not a replacement for good skincare, sun protection, nutrition or medical care.

Side Effects, Reactions & Medical Contraindications

Use is generally not recommended in:

    • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to GHK-Cu, copper, or any component of the vial/cream base
    • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (insufficient safety data for injectable or high-strength topical use)
    • Active malignancy or history of cancer unless cleared by a specialist (due to theoretical effects on cell signalling and tissue remodelling)
    • Significant liver or kidney disease without specialist supervision (as these organs are involved in copper handling and clearance)
    • Known disorders of copper metabolism (e.g. Wilson’s disease) or unexplained abnormal copper levels
    • Broken, infected or extensively inflamed skin at the intended cream application site

Common Side Effects and Adverse Reactions – Often mild and transient where they occur:

    Injectable (100 mcg/mL, 5 mL vial)
    • Injection-site redness, itching, mild swelling or small bruises
    • Temporary warmth or tingling around the injection area
    • Mild headache, light-headedness or transient fatigue

    Topical Cream (0.50% 30 mL and 4% 10 mL)
    • Local skin irritation: redness, dryness, itching or mild burning after application
    • Temporary skin tightness or mild flaking as skin turnover changes
    • Occasionally, mild blue-green discolouration at the application site due to copper content
    • If irritation is persistent or uncomfortable, your practitioner may recommend reducing frequency, applying a smaller amount, buffering with a moisturiser, or pausing use.

Reactions Requiring Medical Attention – Stop using GHK-Cu and contact a healthcare provider (or emergency services if severe) if experiencing:

    • Signs of a serious allergic reaction: widespread rash, hives, facial or tongue swelling, difficulty breathing
    • Severe, blistering or ulcerating skin reactions at the injection or application site
    • Severe or persistent headache, chest pain, shortness of breath or marked dizziness
    • Signs suggestive of copper overload or systemic reaction (e.g. unexplained nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine)
    • Any new or worsening symptom that feels serious, unusual or concerning

Safety Note: Long‑term data is limited. Use should always be monitored by a qualified clinician, with regular reviews and ongoing medical supervision.  Informed consent is essential.

Real Results, Real Stories

"In professional sports, the margin for error is zero. Lumina Sciences replaced my generic supplement stack with Precision Nutrition for Peak Performance, and the results were measurable within weeks. Their data-driven approach is the first time I’ve felt my recovery actually kept pace with my training—it truly is Advanced Medicine for Modern Life."

  • ""I’ve tried various supplements for muscle recovery, but nothing compares to the CJC-1295/Ipamorelin combination. I’ve seen a significant increase in lean muscle tone and a much faster 'bounce back' after heavy leg days.""

  • ""In bodybuilding, we often focus so much on the stimulus (training) and the fuel (macros) that we neglect the most important variable: the recovery environment. After years of pushing my body to the limit, I hit a wall where my recovery couldn't keep up with my intensity. I started a controlled protocol of CJC-1295 (no DAC) + Ipamorelin, and the synergy was immediate. Unlike harsh alternatives that can cause massive water retention or lethargy, this combination felt 'clean' and highly effective.""
